Feb 01 - 20, 2012 IMPRES ERP Updates

Dear All,


Thank you for your interest to have a look at how our IMPRES ERP had evolved with time. You are well aware that IMPRES ERP is an evolving product and it aptly follows             "... Miles to go before i sleep..." quote.


Now lets have a gist about the update.
Note: This covers only visible works made to the end users. The Database, Files, Folder structure, code alterations are not provided here.

Student Academics:
 New Developments:
  • Current complete students strength displayed by District/Locations with/without Admission type (Regular/Lateral) in portrait & landscape formats (8 type of reports).
    • Link: Reports --> "Summary By District / Location" menu.
    • All 8 reports contain the zero value displayed grey-out.
  • Notes of Lesson: Added new report for fetching all notes of lesson for a selected class.
    • Link: Reports --> "Notes of Lesson", second panel.
  • Added student Attendance history during a sem period for a student. 
    • Link: Reports --> Attendance --> Consolidated attendance.
  • Added student Absentia history during a sem period for a student.
    • Link: Reports --> Attendance --> Consolidated attendance.
  • Students Strength dash board is now linked and contains two more additional panels.
    • Link: Reports --> Student strength --> Stud. Strength Dashboard view
  • Added a panel for recalling (deleting) wrongly entered student marks.
    • Link: Recurring Events --> Institution Test --> Test marks Entry
  • Course grade entry screen added.
Updates:
  • Statutory info verification report (explained in Admission -> Updates section) is linked with the Classes & Students screen (Verify the report option).
  • Added percentage column in attendance monthly ledger grid.
    • Link: Reports --> Attendance --> Monthly ledger.
  • In the Attendance analysis screen, added a circular navigation among "Date & classes" first grid. On clicking the student, the absentia history is displayed. On clicking the date in the absentia grid, the attendance status for the selected date is refreshed. This establishes a circular navigation.
  • In the Intimation letter, added notes for University exam eligibility. This applies for report options with B2B (Back-to-Back)  & A3 suffix.
  • Added a font download link in the Internal marks Intimation letter report.
Bugs Fixed:
  • University marks: Fixed a bug that caused mark & grade settings to be saved interchangeably. Now fixed.
  • University marks: Students Tabular Format report displayed the previous report option's output. Now fixed
  • Course subjects entry screen, the check box, "Is Elective", upon edit did not displayed the actual value stored. Now fixed.



Billing
New Development:
  • Added a method for Individual student Receipt history (Note: This is already available in Reports --> Fees Receipts --> entering roll no in text box, but way too slow).
    • Link: Reports --> Fee Collection Details --> Individual Receipt History.
  • Options added for recalling miscellaneous general receipts.
Updates:
  • In Services --> Change fine setting, the grid now displays the current fine setting and the fine amount.
  • Concession entry: This screen now permits updating concession.
Bugs Fixed:
  • Balance displayed in Individual DCB History did not include concession. Now fixed.



Transport
New Development:
  • Added screen for adding the Vehicles to the institution.
  • Added a screen for tracking the fuel filling info includes prev. filled kms, distance travelled, litres of fuel injected, station etc) with validations.

Admission:
New Development:
  • Agents information facility is now added.
  • Added a statutory info verification report for a class. (Note: This is essential during TC Generation).
  • Added Admission No allocation screen in a new menu "Post Admission Tasks". This screen is for adding the university/institution allotted admission number.
Updates:
  • Auto-generate admission number is disabled in all three admission screens.

ERP
Updates:
  • Added the "Active for Admission" check box in Academic Year screen. This helps to list the newly created year active for admission alone and does not interrupt for Academics, Billing, Transport, Hostel modules.
  • The user management grid now displays a "lock" icon for locked users.

Hostel
New Development:
  • Reports --> Current complete Hostelers list: Now includes an option for selecting the 9 reports options (mail label, communication reports etc..) by selected district.

Staff Academics
New Development:
  • Added a new tab for storing the personal info of a staff.
    • Link: Staffs --> Staff Profile
  • Added a new tab for Proforma Payroll (Note: This is applicable for institution who has license for Staff academics but without Payroll module).
    • Link: Staffs --> Staff Profile
  • Added new panel for staff resignation.
    • Link: Staffs --> Manage Staff
Updates:
  • Staff profile report is also updated with the above mentioned new developments.

Staff Login
(General Note: All changes in Student academic reports regarding Attendance, Internal marks, University marks, Notes of lesson are invariably applied to Staff Login module also). 
Updates:
  • Added a link to the student profile in the "Reports --> My Chronicle this year" menu.

MIS
Updates:
  • Updated the links referring the above mentioned changes.

Viewing the changes in your system:
  • In case if you do not see the changes mentioned here, in partially or wholly, then your working copy might not be updated. 
    • This might also depend whether your institution has acquired the license for those modules.
  • However if you find the menu links and do not find the results, kindly clear you browser cache, refresh your page and verify again. 
  • If your come across error messages, then this is could be a result of partial update. Kindly contact our support team, they would serve your necessity. Kindly do not post the error messages as comments in this blog. Convey via e-mail.
